Once hailed as the originator of the oven-toasted sandwich, Quiznos has recently watched competitors like Subway, Firehouse Subs and Jimmy John’s mimic, catch and surpass them. For an LTO sandwich campaign, Quiznos asked us to create a spot that would highlight that would do more than push the special Bourbon sub, but reclaim its core equity in toasted sandwiches in a sea of copycats. Because it’s more than merely toasting that makes a sandwich great, it’s the amazingly unique and flavorful recipes and combinations that are unleashed by Quiznos’ special process of toasting. Hence, we created a word only Quiznos could own: “Floasted” (flavor + toasted = “floasted”).
